One of the ways you'll be connected to your classmates and to your instructor
is via discussion conferences. Discussion conferences
let you post [1] and read [2] messages,
without having to be online at the same time as anyone else.
The conferences
are arranged according to topics or purposes. You might have a conference
devoted to discussing a particular question for the week. Or you might
have a conference for a small group working together on a project. There's
also a Coffee Shop conference, where you can "meet"
everyone enrolled in a Master's course during the semester, and a Prayer
and Praise conference, where you can share and encourage each other.
Sometimes
your instructor may ask you to submit an assignment to a discussion conference,
so that everyone in the class can benefit from each other's work.
