Student Council

The objective of the Students' Council is to serve as the executive organization of the student body. It acts as a liaison between the student body, faculty and administration; to interpret student opinion; to assist in the orientation week for new students; to recommend to the proper and academic welfare of the college or student body and to co-operate with the Student Development Department. A student must maintain 2.0 GPA throughout the year to serve on this Council.

The miscellaneous fees, paid by students at the beginning of the year, are used by Student Council for events and activities planned throughout the year.

Aloha! Welcome to the almost home of the Masters’ family (the real home being the campus of course!) Being located in Toronto we are surrounded with opportunities to serve while also being blessed with vast opportunities for fun and amusement! This is where we come in!

My name is Amanda Whitelaw and I was elected last year by the student body to represent them on our student council executive as Student Council President for
2007-2008. Below you will find a list of people that have already begun to work hard at planning for this upcoming year! We are so excited to meet the new students and reunite with the returning ones!

As we plan our events we always keep in mind the interests of our students, how we can manage on a student budget, and how we can incorporate unique activities that get everyone involved! I have seen the College Dean wrapped in toilet paper, our staff and faculties’ completive nature (in soccer, football and baseball), as well as faculty step up and attempt the limbo (one even successfully!) Needless to say, we have a lot of fun and we look forward to this new year!!

Once reunited in September, Student Council will join together again to plan out the events for our fall semester! So please come back and check out the events page
