Academic
Success
Part of being successful at Masters
is the ability to communicate. Communication in ministry
focuses on
the ability to speak and to write so that others can
understand and be inspired. We believe that a good
writer is also a good speaker and vice versa. We encourage
students to strive for excellence in communication
by developing their speaking and writing skills as
they train at MCS.
To ensure such success, MCS operates
an Academic Success Centre whose purpose it is
to ensure that students
succeed in their programs. The Centre focuses on
the opportunity for students to mentor other students
who
need some coaching in the area of writing and research.
We recruit students with a GPA of 3.50 or higher
with good relational skills to coach students who
are on
academic probation and/or students who want help
in sharpening their reading and writing skills.
Students
who also need help with establishing good study
habits and learning how to manage their time so
they can get
their work done are supported by students who have
the ability to coach them in these areas.
MCS is
working hard to be able to deliver this support
in all its programs and for all its students
whether
they study with us at our Toronto Campus or at
a Distance. For more information contact the
Dean of the Stream
you are studying in so you can get connected
to a student who can coach you to success in your
studies at MCS.
