Curtis has been a pastor since 2005, moving to Massey Place Community Church in Saskatoon in 2008. He enjoys the diverse aspect of leading a small congregation, and working toward shaping the church into the people God is calling us to be—growing leaders, teachers, preachers and disciples of Christ. He has a passion for passing along the lessons that God has taught him, through preaching & teaching or consulting with other churches. He has worked with seven different summer students/intern and values the fresh eyes that they bring to the ministry setting while watching them blossom when put into real ministry settings. Curtis taught for one semester at Sikalongo Bible Institute in Zambia.

His passions are for developing next generation leaders and lay leaders, co-vocational dynamics for pastors & boards, ministry leadership through conflict and vision development, and equipping people for various Christian ministries (like preaching, visitation and administration). His doctoral research focused on the question of whether lay leaders should preach in their local churches (the answer is yes!) and how to equip them. The result of this research has turned into a huge blessing at his church.

Curtis has been married to Jamie for 27 years. Together they have 3 boys and recently welcomed their first daughter-in-law to the family! They live in Saskatoon, SK.
