Susan joins the MCS faculty through the partnership between MCS and Horizon. Susan has served at Horizon since 2019.

Courses taught: Introductory Greek I-II; Greek Syntax; Greek Exegesis; Gospel of Luke; Acts; Hermeneutics; Introduction to Biblical Interpretation; Women and Vocation; The Use of the Old Testament in the New Testament; Pauline Epistles; Revelation

Areas of Expertise: Early Christian and Jewish interpretation of the Jewish scriptures; Luke-Acts; Justin Martyr; early Christian apologists

Before serving at Horizon, Susan served as dean and associate professor of New Testament at Briercrest Seminary. Twenty years ago, Susan and her husband Bruce followed the call of God to seminary. After finishing their seminary education, Susan completed her Ph.D. in early Christianity and early Judaism at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario before returning to Saskatchewan to teach full time. Bruce and Susan have served in various leadership roles in local churches and love to spend time with their four young adult children and their families.
