Introducing the MA in Pastoral Psychotherapy

We’re excited to share about a new program from our partners at Horizon Seminary! The Master of Arts in Pastoral Psychotherapy (MAPP) degree is now accepting applications for Fall 2026.

This 54-credit graduate degree prepares students for professional practice with eligibility for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) — an important step toward serving in regulated clinical settings.

Who can apply?

Whether you feel called toward a vocation in clinical ministry, psychotherapy, or pastoral care, this program equips graduates to serve with professional integrity, theological clarity, and compassionate presence.

This program is ideal for those who:

  • Have completed an undergraduate degree and are eager to pursue graduate study integrating psychotherapy and faith.
  • Aspire to practice professionally as a psychotherapist in Ontario, Canada (additional supervised hours required post-graduation for full registration).
  • Desire to serve both the Church and the broader community with expertise and empathy.

Please note: The program, launching in Fall 2026, is currently available to Canadian residents only, with specific requirements such as a Canadian Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.

If you’re ready to take the next step toward a ministry of healing and hope grounded in psychological skill and spiritual wisdom, we invite you to explore the program details and begin your Seminary application today.
