Transfers to MCS

MCS considers transfer credit from a variety of post-secondary institutions. Applicants desiring advanced standing on the basis of previous work must have official transcripts forwarded directly from the corresponding institutions. Our Registrar’s office will determine if a course is comparable to an MCS course. Please read our Credit Transfer Policy for more details.

Prior Learning & Experience

People come to MCS for various reasons, from diverse evangelical traditions, and at different points on their walk with Christ. Our students range in age from freshly graduated high school to freshly retired, all seeking God’s next best direction for their lives. MCS isn’t a place where one size is meant to fit all, but a place where you can be who God has created you to be.

Because we recognize that not everyone’s story is the same, we are able to take prior learning and experience into account during the admissions process.

Other Colleges & Seminaries

If you have attended another college or post-secondary institution, we are often able to transfer your credits and help you complete your degree. Please note that non-accredited colleges are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR)

MCS has a genuine desire to minimize redundant education for individuals who have acquired skills and knowledge via learning from life and vocational experiences. In the college admissions process, MCS strives to accommodate mature students who have clearly mastered course-related learning outcomes. Recognition of credit can be given where learning outcomes can be demonstrated.

Transfers to Other Institutions

MCS students have been able to transfer courses to other colleges, seminaries, or universities. Each institution determines which credits taken at MCS will transfer into a student’s program of study based on the program requirements of the chosen degree. It is advisable for students to consult with the school they are applying to regarding transfer credits.
