MCS is thrilled to announce that Dr. Mykhaylo (Misha) Khromyak is joining our faculty as the Associate Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Theology.

Misha is an Ordained Minister with The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. Since 2022 he has served as the Pastor of Teaching and Online Engagement at Trinity Pentecostal Church in Montreal. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Institut Biblique du Québec in partnership with Université Laval.

Pastor Paul Lasanté (Trinity Church, Montreal) remarks, “Misha is deeply committed to Christ and the Church. His love and respect for people breathes humility and the joy of the Lord in everything that he does.”

In addition, Dr. Vasiliy Voytovich (European Christan Academy) observes, Misha’s “lectures were both profound and easily understood, making him one of the most beloved teachers among students.”

Prior to immigrating to Canada from Ukraine, in 2019 Misha co-founded Transfiguration Church Community Church (part of the Ukrainian Pentecostal Church). In addition, Misha brings 13 years of academic experience. Before arriving in Canada, he served as a professor and Prorector of Research Work at the Evangelical Theological University in Kyiv. As a former Director of the Euro-Asian Accreditation Association, Misha was involved in the development and advancement of many of the most influential Bible schools and seminaries in the EuroAsian region.

Misha holds a doctorate in philosophy and theology from Dragomanov National Pedagogical University in Kyiv (PhD equivalent in Ukraine) as well as two master’s degrees in theology, a master’s in history, and a master’s in Non-profit Organization Management. In addition, he has published numerous essays in theology, and he speaks six languages: Ukrainian, Russian, English, Romanian, German, and French.

Dr. Jeromey Martini, President of MCS, remarks, “Misha comes to MCS with a deep commitment to Christ and training leaders for the Church. In addition, having ministered in post-totalitarian Eastern Europe, he brings a unique perspective that will help students face the challenges of our current Canadian context.”

Welcome to MCS, Dr. Khromyak! We look forward to you joining us as we prepare competent Christian leaders with the church, for the church.
